The purpose of the Children’s Ministry at St. Matthew U.M.C. is to help educate, guide and encourage our children in their relationship with Jesus Christ. We are dedicated to helping them experience the incredible love of Christ through hands on and high energy lessons, worship time and Christian fellowship with their peers. It is our intention for the children to learn and study the Bible stories while also being able to relate the stories to their everyday life. Children are a precious gift from God and it is our mission to equip them with the Word they need to light their path and guide their way.

Sunday Schedule:

8:00 a.m.: Children’s Church*

(K- 3rd Grade) in the Children’s Sanctuary

9:15 – 9:30 a.m.: Sunday School Opening

(K – 6th Grade) in Room 216

(Pre-K Sunday School Opening in Room 211)

9:30 – 10:30 a.m.: Sunday School

(Pre-K – 6th Grade) in Kid’s Town

10:45 a.m.: Children’s Church*

(K- 3rd Grade) in the Children’s Sanctuary

2:00 – 4:00 p.m.: Anchors Class

(5th – 7th Grade) in the Eagle’s Nest

(Meets the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month; February – May)

4:30 – 6:30 p.m.: Pre-Teen Club

(4th – 6th Grade) in the Vine Café

(Meets the 3rd Sunday of the month)

6:30 – 7:30 p.m.: Bible Blast

(4 yrs – 6th Grade) in Room 224

*Children will be dismissed to Children’s Church during the worship service.

5:30 - 7:30 p.m.: Nursery available (Infants – 3 years) in Nursery 2

5:30 - 6:30 p.m.: Play and Stay Activity Time (3 yrs – K) in Room 212

5:30 - 6:30 p.m.: His Kids Sing Choir (1st – 6th Grade) in the Children’s Sanctuary

6:30 - 7:00 p.m.: Wee Ring Wee Sing (4 yrs – K) in Room 213 (Age 3 may attend with adult)

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.: The Bible Dig (1st – 6th Grade) in Room 216

6:30 - 7:30 p.m.: Beginner Puppets (5th & 6th Grade) in Room 210

Children’s Library Open:

7:00 - 7:30 p.m.: Story Time (4 yrs – K) in Children’s Library

7:30 - 8:45 p.m.: Kwoir Kids (4 yrs – 6th grade) in foyer (Supervised study and play time for children with parents who attend Chancel Choir practice)
